At this time, and for the foreseeable future, I am offering Telehealth video and phone sessions. I am Board Certified in Telehealth and although this manner of therapy is probably new to you, it is not to me, and studies show that Telehealth psychotherapy is as effective as in person, face to face therapy.
I have two office locations. One is in Hillsborough and the other in Bound Brook. Both offices are conveniently located near to main (206, 28, 22, and 287), and back roads (important if you have driving anxiety and avoid main roads).
To schedule your first appointment now or at your convenience, please click on the “Book Now” button. There you will see my availability in both offices for the next two months. Pick the time and day that works best for you. Please note: Weekend Appointments are at a higher fee than weekday appointments. You will receive an email with a link to the client portal where you will complete all the forms needed before your first session. This way your entire first session will focus upon what brings you to therapy and not on paperwork. Please note, that if you do not fill out the forms within two days of making the appointment, before your first session (please not the same day), I will assume that you do not wish to keep your appointment and the appointment time will be made available to someone else. Your appointment is not confirmed until the forms in the client portal are completed. Several of those forms are required by law (Consent to Treatment, HIPAA, etc).
While some people like to reserve the same time on the same day for their sessions (for example, every Monday at 4pm), others prefer to have a floating appointment-that is, they select an appointment time each week or each time that will best fit their schedule for that particular week. I will try every week to accommodate your schedule, but I cannot guarantee that a specific appointment time will be available if you do not reserve it in advance. Appointments are on a first-come, first-serve basis, unless you have a regular appointment reserved.
If you wish to talk with me about scheduling a session, feel free to phone me. I do not charge for a simple, brief initial phone consultation and am happy to talk with you. Choosing the right therapist is extremely important, and I want to ensure you are comfortable with me and feel we are a good fit before you make your decision. Please note that I am not offering a free psychotherapy session, but rather a few minutes on the phone to discuss any questions you may have.
Individuals and Families I work with sometimes bring in a companion animal-the family dog is most typical. I consider companion animals family members and would welcome the opportunity to meet yours. We can discuss this in your first session if this is something you would like to do. Please do not bring animals to my office without first discussing this with me.
To schedule an appointment please click on the blue button below, or you may phone or (908-500-7295) or email me (DrMarion@DrMarionRollings.com). Please note that weekend appointments are charged at a higher fee than weekdays.
Teletherapy (Video) & Phone Consultations
During the Covid-19 pandemic crisis, I am offering Telehealth video and phone sessions to all–new and established patients.
If we are currently working together or have worked together in the past, video and phone consultations may be scheduled online through the client portal which is accessible on the right (Please click “Book Me”). Please note that you must be in New Jersey at the time of the video or phone session. Teletherapy laws vary from state to state and at this time, most states require that the therapist is licensed in the state where the patient is located.
If you do not see a time that is convenient for you, please email, call, or text me and I can let you know if anything becomes available (which often happens). If you are having a true emergency, please call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room for immediate assistance.
Client Portal
For your convenience, you may schedule your own appointments by viewing my schedule and availability via the Client Portal. The Client Portal is encrypted, HIPAA compliant , and completely confidential. I do my best to keep my online schedule current. Use of the appointment scheduling aspect of the Client Portal is optional. You may still contact me by phone, email, or text to schedule appointments.
Office Hours
My office hours are Monday-Friday with daytime and limited evening availability. Please note that if you an old patient returning to therapy to work with me, and you are having difficulty scheduling an appointment, please send me an email, text, or call. I will do my best to accommodate. It may be that my office hours have changed since we worked together.
I also offer Weekend appointments by special arrangement. There is an additional fee for off-hour appointments.
For patients I am working with, I am available for Emergencies & Emergency sessions 24/7. (For true emergencies, phone 911 first, then phone me)
All patients have my cell phone number so that I am easily reached. I promptly return phone calls, texts, and emails, usually the same day. If you have not heard back from me, it is highly likely I did not receive your message.
Medicare & Medicaid
I do not accept Medicaid. I am no longer a Medicare provider and my services are not reimbursable by Medicare or the secondary insurer you may have along with Medicare. Medicare requires that you sign a contract stating that you will not submit receipts for my services to Medicare for reimbursement.
Insurance
I am not in network for insurance, but if you have out of network benefits, my services are generally reimbursable to the extent allowable by your insurance policy. Contact your insurance company and ask what amount they will reimburse you for an out of network provider–also ask what your deductible is, so that you know what your out-of-pocket expenses will be. Patients with insurance make payment for their sessions and are reimbursed directly by the insurance company.
I do not participate in insurance or managed care so that a third party does not dictate treatment or how often you come to therapy or have unnecessary access to your records. Most importantly, your maximum confidentiality and security are safe guarded.
Credit Cards & Payment
I accept cash, checks, and credit cards. Please note that I cannot accept Venmo or other types of payment due to confidentiality and HIPAA laws.
Payment is due by cash, check, or credit card at the time of the session. I do not offer a sliding scale or payment plans. If your credit card was declined, sessions will be paused until the payment issue is resolved.
Cancellations
Cancellations without 24 hour notification require payment of the session fee. Please note that Monday appointments must be cancelled by Friday 5pm to avoid owing the session fee. Appointments that occur the day after a holiday have to be cancelled 24 hours before the holiday. When possible, rescheduling options will be offered, but I cannot guarantee availability. For appointments that have been rescheduled once and then cancelled without 24 hour notice, the session fee will be due.
Fees
Session fees will be discussed with you at the time you schedule your first session and complete the client portal documents.
Unless you are seeking a phone consultation, phone calls, texts, and emails between sessions should be limited to administrative matters such as appointment making or rescheduling. If there is something that you wish me to read or see, please bring it to your next appointment. Email is an unsecure means of communication and your privacy could be compromised. I do not provide therapy or counseling via email or text.
Fees for phone calls on your behalf with other treatment providers, insurance companies, probation officers, school officials, etc, are also charged in 15 minute increments.
There is a charge for letter-writing or paperwork completed on your behalf.
Legal Matters
Please note that your psychotherapy is separate from legal and court related matters. I do not attend court proceedings, become involved in child custody issues, or participate in divorce proceedings. I can refer you to forensic psychologists who do provide those services. When you involve your psychotherapist in a legal matter your personal and confidential information is at risk. If your attorney or an opposing attorney wish to subpeona me, my fees to prepare for and cooperate with the subpeona include a significant retainer fee and hourly rate. It is in your best interest to keep your psychotherapy separate from legal proceedings. If you have any questions surrounding this issue, please give me a call and I will be happy to discuss them with you. I also do not consent to be recorded in any way during a session or phone call. This is to protect your privacy and the integrity of your psychotherapy session.
